James’ broad business experience and focus on superior customer service combined with his love of sports makes him uniquely qualified as a contract negotiator and strategic marketer for his client athletes. James holds a Bachelor’s degree from NC A & T State University and an MBA from Columbia University. He has both NBPA and NFLPA Agent certifications, and has worked with clients in the NFL, NBA, D- League and numerous professional basketball leagues throughout the world.

Operating from a home base in Atlanta, Georgia, the Peterson Sports Management team is positioned to coach athletes through the process of building a lasting career in professional sports. David Thompson | VP – Operations
David Thompson possesses the rare combination of knowledge, passion, and experience that today’s athletes seek when pursuing a professional career. David was born in Jackson, Mississippi and attended Provine High School as a student-athlete. In 1985, David began to use his athletic gift to receive full-scholarships and pursued his dream to attended college. Fortunately, he graduated from Eastern Oklahoma State College with an Associate Degree in Psychology and Sociology and with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Memorial College (FMC), both where he played collegiate basketball on a full-scholarship. David’s greatest athletic achievement as a college athlete may be his 1989 All-Conference and Most Defensive Player awards while playing for Florida Memorial College. Following graduation, David had a successful 4-year career in the USBL playing with the West Palm Beach Basketball Team and the Atlanta Trojans. David has many accolades in his account in both basketball and with life in general. After retiring from basketball, David frequently coached Little League Basketball Camps in Atlanta Georgia. Once he relocated to Wilmington, Delaware, for three years he worked for The Ferris School for Boys as a Treatment Specialist and coach for the young males of the correctional center. As a former professional athlete, David has established excellent relationships with general managers, scouting directors and many others who played a major part in his success as a professional athlete. After dedicating more than fifteen years into the game of basketball as a player and coach, David decided to share his expertise in sports management to the world.
Glen “G” Wallace | VP – Client Services
G. Wallace has had a passion for sports and entertainment since childhood. He played football, basketball, and baseball from peewee league through high school. He played for McKeesport High school and Monessen High School (PA), winning the basketball state championship for Monessen in 1988. He went on to attend Jarvis Christian College and Texas Southern University. He later began a successful music career as GM / Promotional Director at Suave House Records, based in Houston, TX. Suave House became one of the biggest independent record labels in the country, producing such acts as gold recording artist 8 Ball & MJG, Tela, South Circle, Mr. Mike, Crime Boss, and others. He would go on to work with legendary multi-platinum recording artist Scarface. Together with Scarface, G. Wallace went on to start up Def Jam South in Atlanta, serving as Senior Director of A&R / Director of Promotions. While there, they signed multi-platinum recording artist Ludacris, who would go on to becoming one of the biggest rapper/actor/entrepreneurs in the entertainment business. G. Wallace also has a passion for helping others and working with kids. He mentors life and sports skills to high school and college students. He taught a sports tot course, and coached basketball and flag football for Rolling Crest Community Center in Hyattsville, MD. He also works with high risk youth who come from families in crisis.
